Got my date! (Terrible timing!)

So it's bitter sweet. I got my date for surgery (Aug 22!!). I'm so excited but I am an assistant principal and that is right at the beginning of the school year. I'm feeling so guilty that I've had 2 months off and as soon as school starts I'm off for another week or more! I was really hoping for a summer date but it was just not in the cards for me.

But I am excited!!

    Why not as for an earlier date? I asked for a sooner date and I had surgery 2 weeks earlier than they offered me.
