Just approved - Now waiting for August 4th!

Just rec'd my approval and surgery date verification. I'm getting banded on August 4th. I am SOOOO flipping excited to get this done!!! I've been heavy for a LOT of years now, can't wait to get started on the new me. I've done all the stupid-human tricks required by Blue Cross Blue Shield, now 2 appointments left (dietician / surgeon, and the hospital doctor for final clearance). Really looking forward to the change.

    So happy that you got your approval for the surgery! I am new to the site and have been reading many of the comments, etc. I have been on the waiting list now for over a year to see a surgeon in NS for Bariatric Sleeve. Has anyone else had it done and do you know if Dr. Savoie is performing this surgery? I am on PEI and my health is slowly getting worse. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Maura
