Surgery in Tijuana

Hello all,

I was wondering if you could tell me how long you stayed in Tijuana before traveling back home. Please include number of days spent in hospital, in recovery hotel, and any other days. How soon would you have felt comfortable flying again after surgery?

I stayed 1 night , surgery the next morning, left the day after surgery about 5 pm.

I was tired and the walk thru the airport seemed to take forever but I made it just fine.

I stayed one night before the surgery in the hotel, night of the surgery in the surgical center, next night back in the hotel. I then went back across the border to San Diego, but stayed a night in a hotel there across from the airport, just because of the timing of my flight. I definitely could have flown home that day and not stayed in a hotel if there had been a later flight available.

Hi hellosweeetie,

If you are having VSG surgery through BariatricPal, you stay 2 nights at the hospital and another 2 nights at one of our Guest Condos. You would be able to travel back home on the 5th day.

Please contact me if you have any other questions.

I had my surgery with Bariatric Pal and their plans worked wonderfully. As Henry said two night in the surgical center and two more in their recovery house. I did arrive late the night before surgery as was put up at the recovery house for that night and then taken for surgery the next day. I traveled to the east coast with one plane change (overnight) on day 5 with no problem. Good luck with your surgery.
