Welcome and congrats to everyone! Today is my one month surgery anniversary and It was well worth it.

My family worried too. I think that this is natural because they love you so much. The more they learned and the closer I got to surgery, the more confident they felt. It is a rollercoaster.

I started solid food yesterday. So far things are going okay but I am finding that my taste buds really did change. I am learning to eat all over again and now that there is solid food and wait times for drinking, it isn't easy to get all of my Water in. I am doing it, but barely.

So glad to be doing this with you all!

I had my first consultation this morning. Met with the nurse practitioner, the surgeon, and had my first "visit" (class) with the dietician. What a long morning! But, I have answers to all my questions and now my journey begins!

One thing I am very excited about - the program where I'm going does not include ONE Protein shake! I'm so relieved. All real foods and milks for Proteins after surgery. I think this will be much easier for me to do than trying to drink Protein shakes.

Hope you are having a smooth pre-op diet, still, Mandi!

Nice to "meet" you @@tdia13 :)

Welcome bulldog!!!

Hi All!

My consultation was a success! I'm officially on my journey, now. 3 months of visits and food/exercise journal is what I have to keep.

I did find out some great news - no protein shakes required for the program! Omg. I'm so relieved. I do not like this.

Ok....deep breath...my daughter is being induced right now. My grandson should arrive sometime today. I wish I was down in Missouri to meet him.

Support group tonight....my day 5 of liquid diet. Seems to be getting easier. Getting married in 3 more days. Snow on the ground. Yup....this is chaos!!!!
