Pre-Op Diet

So, I spoke with the surgeons office this morning. Surgery is scheduled for 11:45AM on July 21st. Woo! So the diet starts on Monday, July 11th. They said for the first 7 days, I get to have 2 Protein shakes, and 1 protein and veggies meal. Then the last 3 days is 3 Protein Shakes. So my question, if you've had a similar diet, what did you do for your protein and veggie meal? I know if I don't ask I'll resort to chicken and broccoli and that is boring. :)

Thanks!

My pre-op diet is the same as yours. I start it Monday. I've come up with some ideas-hamburger patty with salad, grilled fish with asparagus, I was thinking of a rotisserie chicken with some sort of veggie.

My surgery is the 21st too! It looks like my diet will be similar & I don't know what to do for my veggie & Protein meal either. There are lots of frozen fish meals. The salmon is really good & also the lemon pepper fish.

I do chicken on the BBQ then cauliflower and broccoli in the pan with some herbs - sooooo good

Hey. I my surgery is Wednesday July 6th. This pre op diet is kicking my butt. When I get up,at night,I'm so groggy and weak I wonder if I'll make it back to bed... Makes me wonder if I'm that weak, after surgery with the incisions, how I'll get up do my business then back. The diet isn't great but doable. I'm apprehensive to say the least..
