Need Help

Hello everyone! I just had my surgery 6 days ago and am already noticing some things I'm concerned about. The first couple days after I left the hospital everything seemed normal but I just noticed that I'm able to drink way more than I'm supposed to be able to. I've not felt like I'm pushing it or anything haven't even really felt full. I can drink an 11 oz Protein shake in a sitting and I'm very concerned. Is my band too loose or have I already stretched it out unconsciously? Also ever since the day I got this done I have had extreme burping. I burp all the time! I feel a tightness in my chest and the only way to relieve it is a burp. Is that normal?

I had my band on 2nd June. If i drank too fast or too much then I would get a tightness under the ribs and some burping. I could drink as much Water or juice as I wanted without feeling full but anything else I was limited with. Try slowing down when drinking and notice if the tightness eases. If the feelings do not go away then call your team. In the UK I can contact the dietitians every day with any worries. Hope you feeling better soon.

I was having same concerns but they told me today that they don't put anything in your band till 6 weeks post-op due to the swelling. So your swelling may have went down some. Once they fill your band some, you'll be able to see a difference. I had surgery the 29th of June. Good luck
