I am supposed to be running a half marathon in Philly in Sept. but I am not sure I will be able to . I tore my meniscus a few months ago and I am having surgery to repair it on Tuesday. Recovery is 6 to 8 weeks. I don't think I will have enough time to prepare after my recovery. I am so bummed by this. I really am. I had just gotten to a point where I was comfortable running and doing well. :( Good luck to you though.

I live in constant fear of injury. Right now, my running is one of the main things giving me a sense of pride and purpose in life. Not sure how I would fair if I had to stop for a while. I hope your recovery goes well!
