The PRE-OP jitters

My surgery date is on the 21st of June. This month and after having spent a year going through the process of getting my thyroid under control. Well enough to be able to go through the surgery the reality hit during my pre-op appointment. Then all of the "what ifs" stormed through my brain and the realization that this is really and finally happening.
