So my surgery is June 2 but I am struggling with the pre op liquid diet. I am fine during the day at work but when I get home I have a nibble of my kids PBJ. Some advice/encouragement would be appreciated!

Find something to occupy you - read, color, knit. Remember the goal - the preop diet is important to reduce the size of your liver so surgery is safer. Keep something you can have handy at all times.

Have a shake and fluids available. Have some Jello. This is more than likely a mental food need so keep your mind busy. Read. Write a letter. Go for a walk. Have someone else make the kids food and you pamper yourself. Good luck.
