I'm in my 6th week post-op and using Mederma ointment daily. It's showing some promising signs on my scars. Unfortunately I know one day my band port is going to show up like a prominent bottle cap on my abdomen. bmi.png

@@blessed973 They won't know what kind of surgery. :) Please be sure to put sunscreen on the scars - or they will get worse! Good for you for being able to wear a bikini by the way! I don't think I've worn one since I was 8 years old and I doubt I will again. lol

I am using ScarAway and seeing some improvements, particularly with the smoothness of the scars. I know the color will fade in time. I'm using the sheets, discs, and the roller massage silicone gel thingy. just kinda rotating the arsenal. The roller seems to really help with smoothing things out and it actually fades the scars instantly... for about a minute. :) One of my scars is/was indented and I was pretty upset about that and planning surgery to fix it, but since using these products it has really flattened out quite a bit! I'm 10 weeks post op and have been using ScarAway for about 3 weeks now. Wish I'd started even sooner.

It is likely that the scars will never vanish completely. If you want to totally hide your scars from the world while wearing a bikini, just get a cute cover tattoo :) That's what I would do!
