In search of Mentor

I just had the gastric sleeve surgery on Monday, May 9, 2016 and I am hoping to get good feet on the ground with someone who has done this before. I am feeling entirely uncertain about what I am doing and, in between hoping I haven't made a terrible mistake, it occurred to me that maybe some folks have been here before. Anyone who can help? Even better, if there's anyone in the DFW area?

Thanks so much

Lian

Certainly nothing to worry about...

As far as a mentor goes, I'd offer myself - but I'd SUCK as a mentor...

There is a wealth of information, experience and love contained in this screwed up little place we have here***...

Find the information you need...

Share your experiences...

You'll be just fine...

The place is great...

Not screwed up at all..

I'm sure you get where I'm going with this...

Stick with this site and you won't go far wrong. There is a wealth of information from a great bunch of people. A lot of them are sleeve veterans who have been on the journey for some time.

You will also find yourself laughing out loud at some of the posts as there are some very witty posters. You got a comment already from one of my favourites, KindaFamiliar. He takes his weight loss journey very seriously but has the capability to laugh at himself which in turn, through his posts, makes me, for one, chuckle away.

Your trip to a new sylph like self mustn't be filled with worries and doubts. Enjoy one of the best roller coaster rides of your life. I most certainly am.

There is a lot if great info here. And most of us had the "what have I done" feeling early on so don't panic. It is a totally normal feeling. Hang in there!
