belly button incision?

That's where the camera goes, so they can angle it "up" towards the stomach and see everything. Mine is actually above my belly button, not right in it.

I have seen laparoscopic cholecystectomies (gall bladder removal) and the camera WAS in the belly button. But it's been several years, so I'm not sure if it's surgeon preference or what.

I had an incision in my navel! I figured it was just one less visible scar!

I had a laproscopy 20 years ago fro something else and I was glad that they went in through the belly button. I will ask to have them do it again, because it literally is invisble....
