Gaining

Hello,I've had one fill,am not feeling much restriction at the moment so have been keeping my meals below 800 cals a day in total, except for a Saturday when I allow myself about 1500. I've lost 2 stone in 10 weeks, but this week I have gained 1 and 1/2 lb. I don't understand what I've done wrong,am i eating too much or not enough?

Losing weight isn't symmetrical every day or week. Carbohydrates, sodium, menstrual cycles, stress, traveling and medications can all cause our bodies to retain Water. 1.5 lbs is only three glasses of water. Easy for our bodies to retain this much in one day.

You'll see similar posts like yours and you'll continue to have similar experiences over the rest of your life. It's natural. But you are doing so well, keep going, never let small setbacks like this effect you. Again, it's going to happen.

Thank you for your reply. I did really beat myself up about it and my first instinct was if I'm not losing weight eating healthy i may aswell go eat rubbish food, but thankfully I didn't. That's something I'm going to have to get use to then, and it's nice to hear that it doesn't just happen to me,I'm not as much of a failure as I thought. Thanks again ????
