Hi everyone! My surgeon requires me to be on a 2 week liquid diet before surgery. I'll have 5 daily shakes of Bariatrics Advantage. Apparently I have to buy them in the office, and the bag cost $60. Has anyone else used this Protein shake? Can you suggest a descent flavor? I've never had a Protein Shake before. Also, have you been able to find it anywhere else cheaper?

You don't have to buy Protein shakes from doctors. They say that to make you buy their overpriced stuff. Body Fortress from Walmart will do just fine and it's only like $17 something a container.

The docs make enough dough, I'm not adding to their Mercedes payment by buying anything that comes out of their office. They are supposed to be doctors, not retail salesmen.

Protein is protein. Get whatever shakes you like elsewhere. And tell the doc to stick to doctoring.

I got my shakes from costco and they worked just fine for me. Tasted great, lots of protein and a whole lot cheaper.

You can buy a container of Protein at the grocery store for ALOT cheaper than that ... and you can buy premade too ...

I like Premier Protein chocolate powder ... I mix that with an Atkins premade ... like a double shot !

I agree with the others - you don't have to buy their products. Find what you like as long as it fits with the carb/protein/calorie guidelines for your program.

I've ordered variety samplers from several places to try and find Protein shakes I like. I've got a very finicky palate when it comes to the Meal Replacement shakes. I like that BariatricPal and Unjury have sample packs so you can try stuff.

Hello. I used Bariatric Advantage. Not sure of the other flavors but the vanilla and strawberry are good. I really liked the vanilla.
