You will have to follow your doctor's plan. Some people here have 2 weeks liquid only. Some get shakes with 1 small meal per day. Some have no pre-op diet. I had only 1 week of pre-op diet but it was strictly liquids. The fact is the surgeons all have specific plans and reasons for doing them.

What brand of shakes are you drinking? You are going to be full liquid for a couple of weeks after surgery, so you have to find something you can tolerate.
