Coffee taste is gone :(

I wonder if more people recognize this. I had my surgery at the 21st of March. Now I am trying to drink coffee again but all I taste is warm water. I know it sounds strange and sure, it is not the end of the world. But I wonder if someone else has something similar and know if this will come back some day. I do miss my coffee...

I had to drink some due to weening off and headaches but it didn't taste good to me. I got a sugar free latte mix and make it with vanilla soy milk. It tastes good and gets a milk in. My surgery was 3

I was that way with tea. I used to drink nearly a gallon combined of tea every day and after surgery it tastes like spinach water. It was disgusting! It's gotten slowly better as the months tick by, but it never will taste as good as it did pre op I think. I'm actually ok with that. I've mourned that and moved on. I still get a glass every once in awhile(Splenda sweetened same as pre op) and it's ok....nothing special, but a good change when I get water bored.

I'm 11 months out and I loved coffee before surgery. Afterward I couldn't stand it at all!! I kept trying to drink it though because I missed it so much. After about 6 months I could choke down a half of a cup. Now I have a cup every morning and I enjoy it but not like I used to.

Waited a few months out before trying coffee again, and have had zero issues with it. Just as delicious as before. I drink probably 2 Americano's per day.

I gave up coffee 2 weeks before surgery...I have transitioned to teas....and I feel great.
