Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty

I have posted a few times months ago because I have been trying to have this procedure. I am confirmed and I'm having this procedure on April 21. Because this procedure is somewhat new insurance companies do not cover it I met with the nutritionist and from my understanding my postop is quite similar to the sleeve surgery however preop I need to do nothing to prepare ahead of time . I was just given instructions as if I was having an endoscopy . I hope to learn a lot on these boards! I really welcome any advice anyone can give me afterwards.

Is this the same as the POSE procedure?

Good luck and wishing you great success.

It is not the same as POSE. It is done endoscopicly but instead of cutting the stomach it is stitched to mimic the sleeve.

There is another very active thread on this topic. Try searching.
