Nasty burping?

I am 3 weeks+ post op and when I started my pureed diet I immediately started getting these eggy, gross burps. I told my nurse about it and she said it could be excess gas because the smaller part of the stomach is folded over the larger part at the bottom so gas gets stuck, or that I'm not tolerating dairy at this time. I haven't had dairy for a few days now, and I have tried gas x (which she recommended) as well as keeping up with my prilosec. It's been only a week but it's really getting to me. Anyone else had this problem and please tell me it doesn't last forever?

    @@jmg79 - I burped, or hiccupped, a lot in the beginning when I was approaching FULL.

    Could that be it? I occasionally hiccup or burp now.

    The eggy burps differ from the normal burping i get nowadays on occassion.. when im approaching full. I didnt get the go ahead but as it only required one dose to sort the problem i figured it was worth trying. Nothing else worked and believe me i tried lots..

    I'm not sure because they're not necessarily just after I eat, they are all day. Usually if I'm eating and I burp, they don't taste bad. It's almost like they are worse when I haven't had anything for awhile.
