First consultation in 2 days! Help

Hello there I'm new to this. I have my first pre op consultation on tuesday at 10 am.

I have no Idea what to excpect. I've been looking into weight loss surgery for a year now.

I live in California and have MediCal/IEHP just yo get approved for a consultation my Dr. Submitted a severe apnea test and 2 months of weight watchers. Will that count to get approved for surgery sooner?

My experience was really smooth. I met the doctor after my vitals and weight were done. He showed me the different procedures and suggested the sleeve. They turned in the preapproval and I went to the psych evaluation the next day. Within a week I was approved and the scheduled my surgery in 2 weeks time. My whole process was 29 days from consult to sugury. Good luck...you know that you want to make this lifestyle change so you will be fine! I have surgery in 4 days....whoo hooo!

I have BCBS and they asked me for dates and weight is as part of that regimented diet plan. My doctor said that due to the high success rates that the medical community and insurance companies are looking to lower the big qualifications. Great results really are going to make that change happen as the insurance companies will save money! Good luck to you. .had my sleeve 6 days ago and I have never felt so much hope!

I also have my first consult Tuesday @ 1030. I'm nervous, but ready. I've already done the 6months of physician monitored dieting so I will do my psychological eval, psychological test, nutrition consult and exercise eval then I will see the surgeon @ 2pm to discuss everything. I know I qualify I'm just scared and I want to get the ball rolling already. I'm in Arizona things are really different than Cali but it will be interesting to see the difference in the process.
