APPROVED, FINALLY! ????

After 3 denials ( July '15, Jan '16 and Feb '16) and countless heartaches, my medical director overturned the decision and finally approved me today!!! The amount of joy I have is epic! PRAISE JESUS! ????

I have Blue Shield of Ca. It's a bunch a BS why I kept getting denied... In July because I didn't have 6 month of weigh ins with my PCP, in January because they weren't happy with my PCPs notes, and last month because of some BS w my Medical Group handling my paperwork wrong. It's been a horrible past few months but I am finally approved and anxious for my next step!!

So awesome! God is good! Congrats

I have Anthem, a BCBS Plan, and it took six months of weigh-ins, a psychological evaluation, clearance from my PCP and a whole bunch of diagnostic tests to get approved for my VSG. I had my VSG on 3/7. I went to pre-surgery supported group meetings during the six months pre-surgery and found them to be very helpful. I wonder about the Plans that don't have any pre-surgery requirements.

All bcbs policies r different so I'm not sure if that's it or what. My friend didn't have to do any of the 6 months weight follow.. She did some reguakr testing and her 4 classes required by the facility and had surgery within 3-4 months of starting program.

So I guess all are different.
