Normally, I read and lurk, today I thought I'd share my news.

I got my approval from Aetna this wk --1st submission, so my date is confirmed for September 21, 2007!! I started the liquid diet today & had my meeting w/ the anethesiologist. I thought I was prepared for this part -- I bought protein, my magic bullet, etc, but today has been more difficult than I thought. But, I am really looking forward to being banded.

This board has been so helpful for me, in making the decision, what to expect, problems, successes, recipes -- everything. I thank you all.

So far I am 8 days post op and feeling good! Today has been the best day by far. I can almost reach my toes again (soreness in stomach is going away).

I started on mushies today, had mashed potatoes for dinner. They were delightful. However, I can eat a cup before I get full. I think it's already time for a fill!
