Any March 16 sleevers?

Anyone else having surgery March 16th?! I need a buddy [emoji16] I only need to do a 7 day liquid diet? I would love some suggestions that will keep me energized throughout the day.

  • I have had a few stalls already. 36lbs total 26lbs since surgery. Haven't lost anything this week though. It is frustrating but I keep telling myself, I would not have lasted 6 weeks on a regular die

Oh awesome! Do you have to do a preOp liquid diet?

Is anyone getting cold feet?!

Yes, I guess you could say that. I'm a little bit of every emotion. I was supposed to start my 2 week liquid yesterday, and today I had a steak dinner! I gotta get on track.

I had a burger and fries from my favorite place last night. I start my liquid diet on the 9th and in scared. I feel like I should be prepared better mentally.

I know what you mean, can we continue to talk throughout this.. it may help us? Wonder why some doctors say 2 weeks liquid diet and some say one? 12 days away today I'm gonna try my hardest to stick with it, I can have veggies and broth with the Protein shakes so that will help I guess????

How are you recovering? @@narfd

I'm doing well. I don't mind the soups so much! It's hard getting all my protein in because the shakes I like pre-surgery just don't taste the same post-surgery! I had a 1 week stall and the pounds are moving down again today. @@narfd

@@jennifer320 I started at 256 pre-op and I'm currently at 232. I feel like I'm losing more inches than pounds right now!

@ FayBee I feel the same. I went from 208 to 190 since 3/16.

3 plus weeks out post surgery. Lost 15 lbs since surgery day. No to shabby. I am finally feeling back to myself. ( maybe 90% energy level) So bored of limited food. Not hungery- but I know we need to get protein in. Any suggestions on new food choices in the puree stage?

@@marie honestly I still do a lot of soups because I can get the different flavor I crave like crushed lentil soup, clam chowder, chicken lemon rice soup. It's doesn't feel like I'm trying that way and it tastes good. I also do the starkist tuna kit I can usually eat 1-2 crackers and I eat the rest with a spoon.
