Woo hoo - lets get this party started! :clap2:I'm scheduled for surgery Oct 8th! I'm in the middle of all the testing now, and don't expect any problems, plus I'm self pay. My fee includes 16 weeks membership at our local gym, which I thought was cool. The AP band as well, thank goodness. Anyone else got their October surgery date?

Question everyone keeps talking about the per diet? my doctor hasn't said anything about one. What kind of diet are you all talking about?

Have you started the Optifast yet? If so, how's it going?

I am not required to do the optifast. I have to do two weeks of a low calorie diet. (lean protein, vegetables, a little fruit, and water.) Each surgeon has different requirements for the pre-op.

Don't feel lonely! I got my band on Oct. 3rd and I was home the next day. Now drinking all the clear liquids have been a problem, I feel light headed sometimes and I crave MEAT all day and all night.

Finally approved by insurance - surgery date is October 25th.

At this point, I can't wait. I know there will be issues but I'm ready.
