Surgery Complete and Swallow Test

I had my surgery yesterday. Everything went well. They did find and repair a small hiatal hernia. I am feeling way better than I expected I would. I am just thirstier than I ever thought possible. Fortunately I just "passed" my swallow test so I should be getting a drink any time now. If all goes well I should go home later today. ???? Sending positive vibes to my fellow 1/18 sleevers!

Welcome to the losers' bench! Be kind to yourself these next few days. It could get a little rough. Glad to hear you are feeling okay so far. Remember to sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk.

  • Congrats! Hope all is still well. I'm 3 months out (and 73 lbs - 45 since surgery 10/26/15) and just got a great report at doctor's today. The first week is tough but it gets better from there. Better

Congrats! Hope all is still well. I'm 3 months out (and 73 lbs - 45 since surgery 10/26/15) and just got a great report at doctor's today. The first week is tough but it gets better from there. Better every day. Just follow Dr's directions and all should go well.

I had mine on the 18th as well. That swallow test caused some awful nausea! I stayed in until Wednesday because I couldn't get enough fluid down and didn't pee until late evening. I felt much better going home Wednesday. Now just trying to get fluid and protein and manage pain.
