Type 2 diabetic meds

Are there any type 2 diabetics out there that were on January or metformin before surgery? Could you take it after surgery? The pills are huge!

    I was on Metformin. They took it away in the hospital and haven't taken it since. Hopefully you will have the same experience. If not, I was told they may have to switch your med (possibly insulin) for a temporary time. Be sure to work with your endocrinologist or PCP (whoever prescribes that med to you).
