Post surgery feedback

I just wanted to touch base and see if there's any feedback that anyone can offer after their surgery as far as pain and discomfort management. I had my surgery in the afternoon on Wednesday and my main challenge is the deep pain on the right side of my abdomen and getting rid of the gas. I walked in the hospital, and have walked since being home. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. I did end up having a hernia corrected that I didn't know existed so I don't know if that has something to do with the gas or not.

@@cparni are you taking gas x ? that helped me out alot. I would also called the doctor and talk to him about the pain.. also, do you have any pain meds?

Those who have a hernia corrected are under a bit longer so we get more anesthesia. The gas will be worse. We were all told to bring GasX strips to the hospital and to take them when we woke up. The Gas X and the walking help to get rid of the gas much faster. My surgeon already told me that I would have more of the gas shoulder pain then my class mates. So I have the Gas X strips ready!

@@cparni it will get better it took about a week or 2 before all the gas to go away.

@@cparni praying not that long for you but walk, walk and sip sip sip sip! It will get better.
