I am in the process of getting sleeved ... All the appointment requirements ... Should be able to submit everything to my insurance company the end of February. Anyway my husband is not really supportive of the surgery . I think he might feel as if he's losing his eating partner , he constantly tells me " oh your NEVER going to eat that again. " . He tells me I am making the biggest mistake in my life that I will regret my surgery . Anyone else deal with a partner that wasn't as supportive as you would like and how did you deal with that????

Unfortunately I have to wait for my new insurance to kick in, so my surgery won't be until sometime in the new year.

I am self paying as well. I found there are clinics here that will do it where most of it is covered through insurance by billing it as a hiatal hernia repair, I'll just pay out if pocket for the sleeve itself. I originally planned to go to Mexico and self pay, but my SO said he would be okay if it was state side, but not if I leave the country. :/ so I'm flying to another state to have it done

I am in the process of being sleeved as a low BMIer. (30-35) and he wasn't supportive at first when I decided on this 2 months ago, but he is getting better as time goes on. Give it some more time
