Metamucil

Will Metamucil stretch the pouch? I find that the iron supplements make me have some bathroom issues.

@@sparkles1971 - I don't know about Metamucil stretching the pouch but I was given the option of my new BFF - Miralax.

I can mix it with anything and the bathroom trip is move often and comfortable.

I am post-op from May2015 too. Have you had BW done? I ask because I was told I could stop taking the extra Iron (causing more BM issues) because my BW was fine and I get iron in my Multivitamin.

Contact you doctor and see if the Metamucil is ok, and maybe my BFF ;D

We have the same BFF, haha. Miralax has saved me from much discomfort. I was nervous about using it on a regular basis but my gastroenterologist said it's what he prefer I use. I don't need it every day. I tried vita gummies and benefiber and neither seemed to help me one bit. My practice says it's ok to use Metamucil if needed so I doubt it could stretch the sleeve but best to ask your doctor if in doubt.
