oh GAWD! THE GUILTTT!

So.. my surgery is on Monday. And I CHEATED on my pre-op diet, yesterday. BADLY. I ate a burger, I ate fries, I ate chili. I was stuffed and miserable and bloaty.

And then today, I ate cheese.

I'm worried now that my liver has regained all the mass it lost while I was on the Optifast, and that my surgery is going to be cancelled. It's on Monday.

Does anyone know anything about ketosis and liver shrinkage? How easy is it to plump your liver again?

I'm gonna go feel miserable in a ball now.:think Thanks for listening.

don`t worry and what is a opti-fast. just let them know that you ate and it can`t be all that bad b/c some dr. don`t require you to do a pre-op. just pray if it was easy you wouldn`t need the band. you`ll be ok

I feel for you. I ate one chicken nugget a few days ago, and you would have thought I ate a whole chicken by the guilt I felt!!! Put it behind you, go forward.....I bet all will go smoothly! Good luck....I band the day after you! :whoo:

Happy banding - I band on Monday as well, I only have lost 7.5 # on the OptiFast and the only thing I had was a homegrown tomato?? Don't know why I haven't lost much - oh well, it is a start and I have 2 days to go! Good Luck!
