Upset. ...what should I do!

So hello everyone!! I posted yesterday about my surgeon submitting my info for approval. Well because I had seen pretvious post about how the offices had stated they sent them but haven't I thought I would call. Optum who has to approve me first before UHC tells me that they see the request for authorization but none of my clinicals. And they would tell me this after 5 so I can't call my surgeons office. They said I would have a approval in 2 days from the time it's sent so tomorrow would be the day. So would yall w ait until tomorrow to see if the rep just didn't know what she talking about or call the surgeons office first thing in the am. I am upset if she didn't send it because that's another 2 days I have to wait. I some reason believe the lady at the surgeon at the office....help me somebody!!!!

No reason not to call your surgeon in the am. If insurance told you they don't have everything, find out why. I know you are eagerly waiting on the approval, but in the grand scheme of things, 2 days may not make a difference. Your surgery date may very well be the same in two days time depending on your surgeons availability.

Thanks and you right but after the 2 days it's another 72 hr wait for medical review. My surgeon office is already full for November. I want to have it the earlier part of December so I will be able to enjoy Christmas with my children.

I would call. Even if they were sent, it wouldn't hurt to resend them. Don't go into the weekend wondering. Good luck!
