First Restaurant Dinner Out?

How far along were you when you first ate out at a restaurant?

Where did you go and what did you order?

I'm 3 weeks out (VSG) and cleared for pretty much everything in 4 weeks.

At about 3 1/2 weeks out I ate grilled fish (about 1/6th of what was served and took the rest home to have multiple additional meals. I find that fish goes down the easiest (at least early on after when you start eating again). When I eat beef of any sort, it doesn't seem to digest as well but I am only 6 weeks post-op so not sure if that gets better or not. In getting in my protein, I don't really have any room left for anything else so not much experience with other types of foods at restaurants yet.

Chinese restaurant and had just the broth from egg flower soup. I was very cautious about not eating any chunks. It went pretty well. The second to Mexican restaurant. Had refried beans with a tiny bit of cheese. Since my surgery I have been out a few times a week with different friends or family members and had all types of clear soups.

I have yet to venture out and order fish or chicken. Maybe after my one month mark I will try.
