Surgery Day Today!

Still pretty new here but this forums has been super helpful for learning what to do/prepare for and help answering questions before surgery (thanks to everyone), I'm so glad I found it! :)

So today is my surgery later this afternoon, I of course woke up with a slight headache and nausea (I'm guessing from nerves) they did give me a prescription that I'm supposed to take 3 hours before surgery so I'm guessing that will help with the nausea at least. The headache though I'm guessing won't be a problem once they give me stuff for pain after surgery.

I'm a super nervous and excited ball of energy, and a thirsty one at that. The pre-op diet wasn't too bad after a couple days except when I waited to long to drink my shake or didn't grab some broth to sip.

Anyway hoping I stay cool before surgery as sometimes I can get anxiety during big events, and this one is a pretty big one!

Best of luck to you today! Being nervous is perfectly normal. I would be more worried about someone who wasn't nervous at all. I woke up after surgery wondering what in the h--- I had gotten myself into, but I can truly say a year later that it was all worth it. I am so much better off now than I was before. Keep up the great work! You have got this!
