Taking step one

Hi I'm new to the group just staying my journey I hope. I live in California and was wondering if any body could help me out with a few questions. I have an appointment next week with my Dr to see about a referral to see a bariatric specialist. I definetly qualify my cw is 275 and bmi is 45. I have been battling my at all my life. However this is the heaviest for me. So my first question is my insurance is medi cal thru the state and from what i have read this procedure is coveted so I was wondering if anyone else has medi cal and what has been there experience any info is helpful. Thank u

From what I understand medical state plans in CA are thru blue Cross blue shield and they cover the surgery
