C Section Before Gastric Sleeve

Hello! I'm brand new here. Considering WLS-Gastric Sleeve.

I've been overweight my whole life, dieting since I was 6, and currently have a BMI of 55 with essentially no comorbidities, other than the general difficulties of being overweight.

My question is... How long do you have to wait between a csection and gastric sleeve surgery?

This is our fourth and final and I've never been able to breastfeed, so that's not a concern.

Has anyone done the surgery soon after having a baby? Or know someone who is?

I know there are pros to waiting a good amount of time, but I want to start this journey as soon as possible. I'm ready to be healthy.

I've seen that some surgeons say as early as 6-8 weeks post partum.

Thanks so much for your time!!

Hi i had my last and third c-section may 29,2015 and I'm getting sleeved feb 2016 i have my first seminar tomorrow

Your very welcome ????

Depends on if your breast feeding otherwise I don't see why there should be a delay....3 months should be fine. The only reason you would wait a year is between csections because of risk of uterine rupture. Usually also the uterus has shrunk down to normal size in 6-8 weeks so it shouldn't obscure visualization. But never the less you should ask your bariatric surgeon.
