post surgery appendicitis and hernia surgeries for older patients

I am 64 years old and had to have my lap band removed 6 months ago. Needless to say I put on almost all the weight I had lost with the band and can't stand it. I am planning to go back to Mexico in the next month or so for the sleeve. I have just started to hear of issues with older patients like myself running into situations where they need their appendixies removed sometime after the sleeve surgery and then needing hernia surgery. It is. supposed to be a more current problem. Anyone out there experience this or even heard of this happening?
