First hang up - sleep study

Had my consultation for my sleep study today -- the last step before I finally get to see the surgeon and submit everything to insurance.

Aaaand my recommendation for an at-home sleep test got sent for clinical review. -_-

I'm so worried this is going to hold the entire process up. I have ZERO symptoms of sleep apnea and my bariatric center is sending me for the study simply because I've never had one. If insurance denies it, I don't know if they'll let me go forward without it. Even the sleep doc said that a negative at-home test doesn't absolutely mean no sleep apnea, and there's no way I can pay for a lab test out of pocket.

Ugh. I'm so stressed now. I keep wondering if I should have just said I snore, said I'm tired all the time... but I'm not! I had surgery on my legs back in March and my mom and my fiancee got to spend a great deal of time watching me sleep, so I know I don't snore or stop breathing!

Did anyone else run into this issue??? I know sleep studies are par for the course, so surely other people must have been in this noisy, but I'm freaking out.

Same here...

I'm getting a little anxious. We're shooting for my surgery to be nov 23rd but the sleep center hasn't called to set up me getting the home equipment. IF I have sleep apnea I need to get a lab test and THEN wear the cpap for a month.

I don't think we're going to make it.

I am waiting for them to call me in order to get the sleep test...What is taking so long?I don't care if I take it at home or at the facility.I just want to get it over with..let is my last hurdle.Psych this week.

New nutritionist this week as well.
