Odd reaction after surgery?

Has anyone else done this? I've gotten really cold a couple of times since surgery, and my body has started shaking HARD. Not the normal teeth-chattering, but whole-body shaking.

I did the same thing. It was so weird. I have never been cold in my whole life. I was wearing a sweater around all the time. It lasted a good couple of weeks and then all of a sudden it was gone, as fast as it came on. I don't know why it happened. I did not have a fever.

Have you taken your temp? That can be a sign of a spiking temp. This soon post surgery I would call to make sure that you are not developing an infection.
I haven't yet. I'll try to remember to do that if it happens again.

Hi laurend,

I have been watching the posts to see when you would be back online. You were banded on July 5th right? How did it go? Did you have to spend the night in the hospital? So good to have you back online.

Hope you feel better(warmer) fast!

Take care,

Yes the same thing happen to me it was so wierd I'm never cold but I actually had the chill's and was freezing a couple of times but it has seemed to pass.

i was banded on June 22

Take your temp and call a local Dr or go to the ER now! The signs you're describing are the possible signs of your body turning SEPTIC. This is exactly what happened to me after surgery and it is very dangerous. Do not wait. If you have a fever over 101 go to the closest ER and get help soon.
