I have no clothes

I am giving away clothes like crazy. I have been banded a year and have only lost 40 pounds, but all of my clothes from last year are too big. I have some great clothes that I like a lot, but they have to go. Luckily, I know some ladies who can wear them, but I'm going to go broke buying clothes that more or less fit. I went from a size 20 pants to a size 14 pants so I have a whole lot of expensive size 20 pants. Lately, I've noticed that all of my blouses are too big. They are 2X and seem to have a lot of unnecessary cloth. I bought some extra large Alfred Dunner blouses and they fit. So I'm going to have to buy more new clothes. It's wonderful, but expensive. I try on old outfits to see if they still fit. So far this summer, I've discarded 5 or more outfits but I haven't tried everything on. I did go shopping in the spring to get some summer clothes that fit but now I'll have to do it again in the fall. They don't tell you about the clothes expenses when you get the lapband. But I'm happy to buy new clothes and only hope I get some smaller ones before long. I'm glad I know some people who can wear the old ones. I go to a special Koret sale 3 or 4 times a year and all of those clothes are too big. My friend, Kayla, can wear them though they aren't exactly tight on her. But I'm glad Kayla is around to help me out. I think I've supplied a whole wardrobe for her and I still have some more to go. Isn't that wonderful?

Hey...I am a guy and understand you. I have been banded since March 28 and down now--35 pounds. My clothes are starting to look crazy too. My jean shorts are baggy as all outdoors. But with me--they can be loose--since guys wear them loose and big. I had to buy a stretch belt though---I get them to feel right.

I hope that you try harder to lose. I know it can be tough for many of us to lose. I was doing crazy things in April---riding my bike 2 times daily and lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. No joke--then the weight dipped to the that 1.5 to 2.5 each week. So with the slow down--I averaged 2.75 so far now for 15 weeks...Oh yes--I am keeping track of this thing. Many of my so called friends ask--what's wrong with my clothes. Then the ones who chose to say nothing--Just look at me strangely.

One lady said the craziest thing. She asked me--was I using drugs? Like the crack cociane. Have you heard it all?? I guess we can't lose weight unless a drug is involved...hahahahaha

Lee4Love -- Great!! Keep doing this. But get some clothes that fit. It's amazing how many people notice you have lost weight when your clothes fit. I went to take my old RAV 4 for cleaning to sell it and my old dean noticed I'd lost weight because I had clothes that fit. He thought I looked great. Of course, he's seen me at least 3 times since I lost weight, but my clothes didn't fit. Get some thing clothes.

chica -- Well, poop. I gave all my 20 clothes to a girl I know who just had a baby. If you have a good Goodwill or Salvation Army, shop there. I've seen some really good clothes at those places and all you have to do it have them cleaned.
