Nicotine pre op some one help me!

I never ever smoke and Saturday I smoked 1 cigarette and feel terrible about it now. Does this ruin my chances of getting surgery? I'm scheduled for 7/20. Started my pre op diet today.

Just curious, if you never smoke, why on earth would you smoke 1 cigarette? Are you one of those people who only smoke when they drink?

Basically if you have already been approved for the surgery I don't think the doctor will pass that guaranteed payment up. Yes we want to believe that the docs genuinely care about us but I'm pretty sure he has overhead to pay lol. You should be fine just don't make a habit out of it. Best wishes on your journey I was sleeved on July 9th and I feel amazing 4 days later!

You'll be fine. Drink lots of Water to flush any remaining nicotine out of your system. It will be long gone by the time you have surgery. Good Luck with your surgery!
