I'm 3 months preop. For the past week I've been dying for cake. I don't know how much longer I can fight this craving. HELP!

I currently have two things that I use as sweets-substitues when I start getting overwhelmed and want to cave in and have the sugary crap that I sure don't need:

greek yogurt with fresh blueberries mixed in

Protein powder (chocolate) & Water shakes

Both are excellent in flavor and ward off the sugary junk food.......and both have redeeming nutritional value.

I survived last night but am still thinking about it. Hopefully it passes soon. I am proud I was able to get past it without giving in for once. Thanks for the support!

My therapist has me do battle with the foods I crave. I have to pick it up. Smell it for a long time. Decide what it smells like. Touch it. And then take a teeny taste. 99% of the time it smells fatty, feels fatty, tastes fatty, and in teeny bites, kinda tastes gross. So I move on. I have come to realize that some of my favorite foods arent that awesome when I stop and make myself aware of how they really smell and taste.
