Doing this by myself - terrified!

Hi everyone, new to this forum. You can call me wagyu (as in i love wagyu beef!) anyways I started my journey will get sleeved sometime next month. Going through all my pre requisites like endoscopy/pulmonary etc... and I am doing it by myself. No one knows and I am so terrified. Well maybe one or two friends know. But no one is going to the doctors appts with me or the surgery, so I am very terrified. Don't know what to do, and feel like I am alone and want to back up because this is such a big thing. I don't know. But! I will go through with it! Would like some support if anyone is going through the same thing, or if not, do you have advice? Thanks a lot!

I felt your feelings also. Didn't tell anyone. I'm 40 pounds down since June. That's a bag of rock salt. (For those who live in that part of the country). The biggest benefit: food doesn't control me

I did it alone also. Friend drove me. Step sister picked me up. She had to pick me up at the women's birthing center, so there's no telling what she thought!

Be careful if you have little fur-babies who love to cuddle, mine jumped on me the day after I got my staples out! So now, I just keep a pillow on my stomach... And mix sea salt and hot water and spray daily... That normally helps all other wounds... And it is helping mine tremendously. One week post op had staples taken out and was -10 lbs. I'm scared to check the scales... But I will next Tuesday when I'm 3 weeks post op...

I love this forum! ????

I went the entire process alone. To this day only people from this forum know about my surgery, and I intend to keep it that way. It's very do-able with careful planning ahead of time.

One thing with uber: you have to have an adult check you out of the hospital, and a driver won't be able to do that. I took an uber car home but I had to hire an aide from a visiting nurse-type service as my post op escort. You will need someone to check you out, so keep that in mind.
