Protein shakes with immersion blender?

Anyone have a tip for making them less foamy?

I didn't like the foam at first either. I used a blender. You could try a shaker. My nut said that part of it was finding a consistency that you can tolerate. She suggested using only 4 oz. Water and whisking it to make a pudding? I never felt it seemed like pudding, but you could try it. Also I liked it in a blender with 8 oz of water and more ice. You may need to experiment.

I can tolerate the foam in the creamy shakes. I use cappuccino protein powder and add instant decaf coffee in the morning. For my liquids throughout the day when I am tired of water, I use Syntax Nectar protein powder (grapefruit, twisted cherry, tropical breeze, etc). For these, I mix them in the morning and put them in the fridge. The foam disapates that way!
