Treatment for Scars?

Hey guys,

I'm 1 week post op and wondering about my scars. I actually haven't looked at them yet (those white bandages are still on and I'm a little scared to look to be honest) but I do want to minimize the appearance of scars as much as possible.

I know there are ointments/creams people use, anyone have any recommendations?

Many think Bio oil is great. However, I have found that Palmers oil works better and penetrates instead of laying on the skin.

  • They'll go away. Mine still look like scars after a week. They'll go away eventually.

Mederma works wonders I used it on my breast reduction scars and they are pretty much gone! I'm week 4 and using it now. Just started because you have to heal a little before you start using it. It's about 25-30 dollars a tube but well worth it! Also neosporin and vitamin E

I never used anything and I can't even find two of the scars. But my uncle swears by coconut oil. It faded his knee surgery scars even years later when he started using it.

awesome, thank you everyone for the advice. I'll probably use a little bit of everything ;)
