Just had surgery yesterday

I just had surgery yesterday how long does it take for the pain to let up? I feel like I got ran over by a semi... I'm always so tired and I'm trying to drink as much water as possible but I can only sip it between naps. Any advice will be helpful

I was sleeved Monday June 22nd. I felt great that evening after I woke up, but the next day was awful. I stopped all pain medication as it caused severe nausea and vomiting and was discharged Wednesday. I was in rather acute pain and dealt with nausea, dry heaves and sporadic vomiting until Friday. On Friday I turned a corner-- was able to hydrate fully that day, pain had greatly subsided, and Saturday I felt like I was returning to my old self. The first few days I was really miserable and couldn't even nap or sleep because of headaches. I got my drain out yesterday and I feel amazing today! Still tired but running at about 75% now. Hang in there--- you're not alone... One morning you will wake up and feel your energy coming back. Especially when you can get your protein going!
