Exercise and carb cravings

Has anyone experience intense carb cravings after exercise. I do 2 1hour flex/tone/step classes a week and 2 hour treadmill/bike/weights a week. I am craving carbs like crazy and find myself picking at them.

I don't have carb cravings because I eat healthy carbs. I don't believe in the low carb diet. I believe it is your bodies way of saying..."hey, I need some carbs here to burn with all this exercise" Carbs are what we burn for fuel when exercising. That is the only thing I can think of...

The only thing I can add is that is a good idea to eat something after you work out. Something small like an apple. Your matabolism is reved and it's a good time to fuel your body.

Not much help about the cravings. But if you go with whole grains and not fried and not too much and are getting your Protein, where is the problem?

That'd be because your body actually needs carbs - particularly when you're active and need energy. Stick with healthy ones and there's no problem.
