A little TMI

Is/Has anyone had problems with constipation? I'm three weeks out, drinking plenty of fluids, but it's not helping. I'm still eating very little (about 500 calories a day) so I'm not expecting normal poops, but I wasn't expecting to have such trouble going either!

Suggestions? I know I can have Beans in the diet phase I'm in. Maybe I just need to have some every day. Ick.

are you allowed veggies yet. not everyone has same diet requirements. I was told to quit taking the iron and add miralax to my drinks, yogurt, etc. you can also add fiber using the powdered non flavored stuff. unfortunately sometimes, like beans, you just get cramps and gas! make sure you are getting plenty of water. I had issues with iron with pre-natal vitamins, nurse said my multivitamin should provide enough and when they check my levels in sept if needed we will try to add iron back in.

Very typical for you to have constipation issues when you are only three weeks out considering your fiber intake is probably very low. Trying taking a daily fiber pill or Miralax which is flavorless and you can add to drinks or benifiber. Just be careful if you have not gone for more then three days cause you don't want to get impacted and have a whole other issue on your hands! Good luck.

I pretty much took Colace on a daily basis. Helps to keep things moving. ;)
