Liquids

Hello,

I will be having my surgery in about three weeks, and the two days beforehand I need to be on liquids, and day 2 Clear Liquids.

Anyone have any advice. I know that I will get more information once I go to my pre-op class, however I want to be ready and prepared.

Thank you

Are you needing ideas for what kinds of liquids to have? Here is what my NUT gave me for the pre-op diet:

Clear liquids include crystal light, s/f Jello, s/f Popsicles, clear broths, tea, coffee (if allowed by your surgeon)

Full liquids also includes cream Soups, milk (although these can be high in carbs), Protein drinks, V-8

Thank you very much, and yes I was needing ideas. I only have to do for two days, which is better than what I have heard, but I want to be prepared.

I know what you mean about wanting to be prepared. I'm the same way. Just be sure to follow what your surgeon and NUT line out for you. They may have different requirements and "rules" than mine did. Just remember you can do anything for two days!

Good luck!!
