Pain while drinking?

I can not drink water, teas, diet flavored drinks. Nothing like that without pain. I can however seem to drink skim milk, protein drinks and broth. I am 4 weeks post op. Any ideas? My doc said it is normal. Will brink it up again tomorrow. Makes it difficult to get all my fluid in. Any one else?

@@stayce5,

Have u tried drinking those fluids at different temperatures? I know I still have a hard time drinking ice cold water but room temperature water is fine. Yet, my protein drinks have to be icy cold.

I am sure you have tried this, but in my first month, I would slowly sip the Water. literally a tsp at a time. Any gulping = instant pain. This is better now at 6 weeks, I can have a small gulp.
