Two days until surgery...nervous and hungry!

Hi everyone, My VSG is scheduled for 5/20, so full liquids have ended and tomorrow I start my clear liquids and bowel prep. Tonight I started to get really nervous, not about the surgery but about afterwards. I'm so scared I'll be super hungry. Any thoughts, advice or words of wisdom would be so appreciated ????

Hi Suezle and welcome! I am 4 days pot-op and have yet to feel hungry. Know that this is a mental AND physical journey. You will have ups and downs. The success stories here will inspire you when you need it. Everyone is very nice and will give advice or answer questions when you ask.

Follow your plan and it will all be fine! Good luck!

Thank you so much ShrinkingPeach! Glad to hear you haven't been hungry yet.

Best of luck to you on your journey!

Good luck to you!! It will be the beginning of a new and wonderful life. I personally never had sugar cravings or felt head hunger until after I ate carbs/sugar for the first time: which was about seven months post op. Sugar is the devil. When I eat it I want more so I try to avoid it.

Keep us posted on your recovery!!
