Wow, it's been a roller coaster ride to get to this date. Like thousands before me I am a ball of emotion right now. Excitement, pride, happy, fear, anxiety and of course tired. Had a great start back in November with all my test being completed and then came the preop weight I needed to lose. I struggled through the holidays and tried to deal with the stressors of work the best I could. More than once did I skip an appointment and mentally think "i can just do this on my own without surgery". I actually gained weight up until March when my NUT asked if I would try Optifast. Though expensive, it was the best decision I could have made. I averaged losing 5lbs a week for 7 weeks. So now here I am, enjoying this lovely clear liquid diet. I would rather be on Optifast again, lol. I want to thank all those that post on this website. I have learned so much from those that have gone before me and love all the support everyone provides. I see that no matter what procedure you have, we are all in this together. I'll post again post op. Thanks for reading!
